Pistol caliber carbines such as 9mm, .40 S&W, .45 ACP, and 10mm are a blast to shoot but can be tough on AR-15’s internal components. Without a properly tuned blowback system, you run the risk of being overly destructive on internal lower parts. Runing a blowback AR15 with a suppressor can further increase the risk for damage. Grain of salt
By now, anyone ahould take any online advice with some scepticism and use common sense. I just put together my first 9mm upper, and a page with lots of information on pccs advised against solid one piece buffers. Since I could not find something else, and this one being the appropriate weight and from a brand that I like, I decided to gamble and bought it. Glad to report that my ar9 upper, running atop a lower that has this buffer ran great from the first range trip. Granted, no mag dump, no frt or binary trigger, no hollow points, but it ate a box of 124 grain cci from a pmag with endomag insert without a single failure. Waiting on 2 exomags to keep having fun.
