How to Start a Return (Self‑Service)
All eligible returns are now initiated through your AR15Discounts.com account. Please follow these steps:
- Log in to your AR15Discounts.com account.
- Go to your order history and open the completed order containing the item(s) you’d like to return.
- Click “Request a Return.”
- Select the item(s) you’d like to return. (Single‑item orders are auto‑selected.)
- Choose a return reason.
- Select your refund preference — Original Payment Method or Store Credit.
- Review and submit your return request.
Once submitted, a prepaid return shipping label will be issued automatically and sent to you by email. Return shipping costs (where applicable) will be deducted from your refund in accordance with this policy.
Don’t have an account yet?
An active AR15Discounts.com account is required to initiate a return — guest returns are not supported. If your order was placed without an account, simply create one using the same email address used at checkout, and Link Previous Orders.
Eligibility at a glance
- The order must be in Completed status.
- The return must be initiated within the applicable return window (see below).
- The item must not appear on the Non‑Returnable Items list.
Return Window & Satisfaction Guarantee
If you are not satisfied with your purchase for any reason, you may return the eligible product within the applicable return window for a refund (less shipping costs and any applicable fees).
Standard customers: 35 days from the order completion date.
VIP customers: 95 days from the order completion date.
5 additional days are added to account for transit times
Regulated (FFL) Item Returns
Regulated items purchased from AR15Discounts.com may be returned, subject to the conditions below.
Inspect before transfer: Please thoroughly inspect the item for any defects or blemishes before completing your transfer at the receiving FFL. Failure to do so will result in the item being non‑returnable.
Restocking & return shipping: Approved returns of regulated items are subject to a restocking fee (15% or $35 — whichever is greater) and the cost of return shipping, both of which may be deducted from your refund.
Working with your FFL: After you initiate your return, you may need to provide the return shipping label to your receiving FFL so they can ship the item back to us.
Defects or blemishes: If you notice any defect or blemish, please reach out to us at [email protected] with photos. We’ll do our best to review and respond within 24–48 hours with the best possible solution — replacement (if available), refund, or store credit. In some cases, we may be able to offer a discount on the item depending on the severity of the blemish.
If there are no visible defects at the time of pickup but issues are later discovered during build/assembly, we will assist in facilitating an exchange with the manufacturer.
NFA Item Cancellation & Refund Policy
Full refunds on NFA items are only possible if a cancellation request is received and acknowledged before the transfer process has been initiated. “Initiation of the transfer process” is defined as: the ATF Form 3 that allows us to transfer the NFA item to your selected dealer has been submitted to the ATF. ATF Form 3 submission typically occurs 1–3 days after your order is placed, depending on order volume and processing times.
Cancellations and partial refunds remain possible up until the NFA item is shipped to your FFL dealer. The fees that apply at each stage of NFA processing are:
- Order received – Form 3 not yet submitted: Full refund
- Form 3 submitted – not yet approved by ATF: 10% processing fee
- Form 3 approved by ATF – item not shipped: 20% processing fee
- Form 3 approved by ATF – item shipped: No refund
- Form 4 submitted (LOCAL ORDERS ONLY): 35% processing fee
This policy is a guideline and is subject to change depending on the situation. There is significant time and effort involved by both AR15Discounts and your selected dealer to reacquire an item once an ATF Form 3 has been submitted and approved.
Service add‑ons such as custom Cerakote and/or gunsmithing services are non‑refundable.
Assembly Service Orders – Cancellation Fee
For any order that includes ASSEMBLY SERVICES, a 25% restocking fee will apply if a cancellation request is submitted after the order has been placed and is subsequently approved. This fee accounts for the time, labor, and resources allocated to the assembly process.
Guam Returns
Due to customs requirements, approved returns for orders shipped to Guam will need to be sent to us by the customer (we cannot provide a return label through the self‑service portal).
To initiate a Guam return, please contact us at [email protected] with as much detail as possible. If the return is approved for return‑shipping reimbursement, we will require a copy of the shipping receipt.
Non‑Returnable Items
- Ammunition
- Hazmat items
- Reloading supplies, including primers, bullets, cases, and powder
- Gift cards
- Any item purchased as open box, used, blemished, or “Blem”
- Any item returned after the applicable return window has expired
Manufacturer Warranty — Outside Our Return Window
If your return window has passed and you’re experiencing a defect or workmanship issue, you may still have recourse through the manufacturer’s warranty. Most products we carry are backed by the manufacturer’s own warranty program, which may cover defects in materials and workmanship beyond our 35‑day return window (or 95‑day window for VIP customers).
Warranty terms, coverage, and the claims process vary by manufacturer — please refer to the documentation included with your product or the manufacturer’s website for details. If you need help identifying the right contact, reach out to our Customer Service team and we’ll point you in the right direction.
Refunds & Store Credit
After your return is delivered to our facility, it will be inspected and processed within 4–6 business days. Once approved, your refund will be issued to the method you selected when you initiated the return:
Refund to original payment method — a credit will be applied to your credit card or original method of payment. Please allow additional time for your bank or card issuer to post the refund.
Refund to store credit — a store credit code will be emailed to you for the value of the approved refund.
If a purchase was made with Bitcoin, the refund method will be an online gift card.
If your return cannot be approved, you’ll be notified with the reason. Restocking fees, return shipping, and any other applicable fees will be deducted from your refund in accordance with this policy.
Late or Missing Refunds
If you haven’t received your refund yet, first check your bank account. Then contact your credit card company — it may take some time before the refund is officially posted.

Gifts
If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be issued to you.
If the item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, the refund will be issued to the gift giver.
