It's Steel tough, not alloy - ain't gonna break Bubba period! I had an Extended Bolt Catch that could not be used with a Magpul BAD LEVER so, I bought this San Tan Tactical STT Ultra Grip Bolt Catch - it's a fantastic upgraded Mil-Spec Bolt Catch alone but also, yes it is perfect if you want to install a Magpul BAD LEVER too - fits the BAD LEVER like a glove.
