possible interference problem with safty seletors
The other review is true about how the 1st stage to 2nd stage feels like sandpaper. I noticed on mine that the 1st stage blade is pushed by the trigger spring or something to the side a bit. this causes the 1st stage blade to grind on the 2nd stage, therefore sand paper felling. My major issue is that the second stage feels impossible to pull. I tried the trigger in an ADM lower with radian selector. The second stage is like a 15-lb trigger, and I have to squeeze with all my might to break. I put the iconic trigger side by side with another drop-in trigger. Connecting them by the 2 pins holes. I noticed the area on the trigger that interacts with the safety selector on the iconic sits a lot taller than the other triggers. I believe when I was pulling on the trigger, the trigger hits the safety selector even when it's in fire mode. I don't know if the iconic trigger doesn't work with certain lower/selector combs, or I have a bad one. in contact with Rise armament now. Currently waiting on what they have to say about this interference problem that I'm having. if this is just how the trigger is designed, then I'm looking at returning it.
Disappointing
The Rise armament iconic was on sale so I decided to try it out. I had high hopes for this trigger, But ultimately it fell short. The bad: 1st it was missing 3 of the 4 screws for the trigger pins. 2nd the first stage/blade when pulled feels gritty/crunchy like it has sand in it. I cleaned it out, but it still feels like unpolished metal grinding together. 3rd ( Not that anyone would do it ) you can pull the second stage/blade and drop the hammer without pulling in the first stage/blade. I don’t understand what is the point of the first stage then? It’s not blocking or creating any engagement or creating any safety function. It seems to just be a gimmick at this point. The pros: The pull weight is as advertised. I was getting 1 lb on the first stage and between 2lb 7oz and 3lb 7oz. consistently. You can feel the distinct wall on the second stage with a decent break no noticeable over-travel. Even on sale this trigger is over priced. There are a lot better option on the market. I highly don't recommend this trigger.
