US
Great handguard for my needs.
I used this handguard on my AR9 build. 5.5 inch barrel with a 7 inch suppressor. The suppressor sticks out about a half inch. I use a Gibbz Arms side charging upper so I had to modify the left side of the handguard to fit the upper. I am not a huge fan of the barrel nut but I can make it work. It just takes a little longer to get everything to line up and torque properly.
USWorth every penny!
Fast shipping and a great product. (15 inch MLok hand guard)The hand guard is really light, but very strong. The internal size keeps the Mlok nuts away from the barrel. And it is rock solid on my rifle platform. I could not be happier, it's exactly what I was looking for. I love AR15 Discounts for having everything I want and need right in one site with great prices.
USAwesome
Product is light and strong. Gave my AR the look I was looking for. Only down side was there was no instructions on what to torque screws so just went ahead and used same torque specs from my old handguard.
USSome good, some not so good
The good- very nice finish and feels good to the hand. Very nicely milled. Price is not too bad when on sale, but I wouldn't buy at the regular price of $100+. The not so good- the screw holes do not precisely line up with those on the barrel nut. It feels like it's stripping the screws. Coupled with the 1.7" inner diameter, the clearance is a bit tight when using a larger diameter suppressor, like the Gemtech Abyss 5.56. If not lined up, the suppressor will scrape the sides when ******** it on. Smaller diameter suppressors won't have this problem so this handguard might be better for those.
USMistake
I got this handguard to go over my Vanquish 9 suppressor. I put it on to “dry fit” and make sure I had the clearance I would need and I was unable to take it back off. I tried heating it up to expand the aluminum but this did not work. I ended up beating on it and ruining the edge of the handguard, eventually I ended up cutting it off. Very displeased and will not be buying NBS products in the future.

We’re very sorry to hear about your experience — that definitely sounds frustrating. Handguard and suppressor clearance can vary depending on the exact outer diameter and rail tolerance, and we always recommend confirming inside diameter measurements prior to installation to ensure proper fit. We understand how disappointing it is when a part doesn’t work out as expected. If you’d like, please reach out to our team directly with your order details and the suppressor model so we can review the specs with you and see if there’s anything further we can do. -JH
