Great Alternative!
The gas keys from AR15discounts have all been great with the exception of one nitiride (they replaced). The phosphate chrome are my favorite, but the nickel boron version is also great quality providing a flat bottom with smooth bores to minimize wear on your gas tube.
USNice Backup
Everything seems in order. Well made- tooling looks good. The edge of the gas tube is de-burred and smooth. It's a backup piece, so haven't used it. Just don't use YFS screws, stake it properly, use whatever sealant is considered the "coolest" in the AR community this month, and it'll work just fine. Watch out for those "mil-spec" only guys though- because it's NiB, they'll probably make fun of you. Yes, a joke.

I bought this on sale and I wasn’t expecting much in terms of quality or the coating. After receiving the part though I am pretty sure NBS is the producer for many manufacturers. The gas key was virtually flawless with the exception of a small machining mark on the front edge. The coating was even and does not appear to have any issues with high or low spots. Good part at a great price.

These are beautiful looking but one of the three I ordered had an oversized gas tube. Check the specs before using.
