Replacement was gtg
The replacement gas key was just fine, the bore was just about the perfect id.

I generally avoid nitride and this part was a perfect example as to why. The exterior of the gas key is relatively smooth with minimal machining marks, acceptable there. Unfortunately the bore is rough and several thousandths over sized. The phosphate chrome gas keys have all been perfect as well as the nickel boron variety. This one just fell short, not worth the return shipping. If you need a gas key, I would stick with the phosphate variety, having ordered half a dozen they have gauged well. * Nitride Gas Key on the RIGHT, you can see the ID is visibly larger than milspec key. Also sloppy fit with several gas tubes (SS & Melonite/ Nitride).
