The KAK Industry 1/2-28 Slimline Extended Flash Can features a slim 1.2″ outside diameter allowing it to be recessed under the majority of modern slim M-LOK or KeyMod Handguards. This simple yet effective flash can directs gasses, noise and concussion down-range away from the shooter. This is especially useful when shooting a short barreled rifle or pistol build.
This extended version, at 5″ long it is a great option for those who are waiting for a suppressor or need to be able to swap between a recessed suppressor and a standard muzzle device for compliance reasons. The slots up front allow the user to torque the recessed flash can without removing the Handguard.
The flash can itself is machined from 6061 aluminum and is threaded for the 1/2×28 thread pattern found on many .223/5.56, .224 and 9mm barrels.
The bore is large enough to allow a 9mm projectile to pass through it and can handle full auto fire. It doesn’t create any back pressure so gas cutting is not a problem.
It can be torqued directly against the barrel shoulder so it is not necessary to time the device but you may use a crush washer (sold separately) to time it if desired.

Flash Can
Added the KAK Industry 1/2-28 Slimline Extended Flash Can to my obnoxious 7.5" pistol build and it made a world of difference! No longer did I get the stank eye from fellow shooters at the range when I made freedom noises. No longer was my left hand blackened after a mag or two. Good product, well made, pretty light considering how stout it is. Looks pretty slick, too! I've taken to getting one for every build I do with a barrel less than 14".
Disappointed
Product is almost entirely solid. This isnt so much a can as a solid cylinder with a concave taper at the large end. You can barely stick your pinky finger in the open end of the can because it tapers to bore diameter in only an inch from the open end, the rest is just solid. Pretty lame
