Faxon 6mm ARC 16 Gunner, designed by Faxon’s competition shooting staff.
Manufactured 100% in-house from gun-barrel-quality bar-stock, the Faxon 6mm ARC 16 Match Series starts with 416-R in the 5R rifling. The 5R rifling minimizes jacket deformation, increases velocity and ease of cleaning. We chamber our Match Series in 6mm ARC, a hybrid chamber the 5R rifling takes full advantage of with lands opposite grooves and reduced sharp angles that reduce jacket deformation increasing velocity, and easy cleaning. After rigorous testing, the barrels are Nitride treated inside and out, locking in the bore, improving barrel life, and keeping the elements at bay. Better accuracy through less bullet jump, but fully and individually MPI tested for your safety.
The extension is coated in Nickel Teflon which maintains incredible dry lubricity, corrosion resistance, and with the coating, tightens up fit between the extension and receiver – again improving upon accuracy. Combined, the Match Series of barrels are ready for when duty calls or the buzzer beeps with unrivaled performance value.

Very light
I haven't had a chance to actually shoot it, but I'm quite impressed with how light this thing is. Coming from a Government .223 Wylde barrel, I can't believe the difference in weight of the two assembled uppers. Some things to note for prospective buyers: 1. Faxon doesn't dimple their barrels if this is important to you. I used Faxon's gas block with 3 set screws + blue Loctite. I expect this will be just fine. 2. The barrel came with no oil on the outside making the finish look very matte grey and flat. If you want it to look like it does in the pictures, rub in a good amount of gun oil. The color will look darker and have that shine you see in the pictures. No complaints. The weight savings alone make this a fantastic barrel for those lacking 24" pythons.
USExactly what I was looking for
This Barrel is very lightweight, which was my most important aspect, as it will be carried long distances in competition. This is the lightest 6 Arc Barrel that I could find. While overall performance is great, I've given it 4 stars due to a slight room for improvement in accuracy. The factory 108s and 103s deliver 1.5moa, with the factory 105s slightly better at 1.2moa. However, the 80g factory loads are the real winners, boasting an impressive 0.5 moa! It's worth noting that my reloads may slightly improve this accuracy, but for my specific application, this is still a great performance. Some FPS data for factory loads. 70f 108 - 2527 105 - 2555 103 - 2577 80 - 2777 No gas issues. Aero AGB, A5 buffer tube, Lightweight BCG, Vltor a5 4.56oz buffer. No feeding issues
