Quality is imbued into our barrels from the start. We start with the best materials, either certified 4150 Mil-Spec steel or 416-R Stainless. From there, each barrel goes through a battery of tests at each operation until finished in Nitride and final inspected. All barrels are individually checked for headspace by precision custom hardened gauges.

Superlative Arms Piston System
The Superlative Arms Patented “Bleed Off”, Gas Piston System For The AR-15 Platform Adjusts The Gas Flow By Bleeding The Gas Out Of The Block Instead Of Restricting The Flow Like Conventional Adjustable Blocks.
Results:
- The pressure used in the block is reduced only to the amount required to drive the bolt carrier. The remaining gas / pressure are bled out of the block allowing the system to run much cleaner and cooler.
- Reduction of felt recoil.
- Patented adjustment detent is located outside of the block and therefore no contamination.
- The gas adjustment screw does not restrict the gas flow; therefore there is no erosion or seizing of the screw /no loss of detent due to carbon build up. Although it is removable, we have added a safety mechanism, which stops you from unintentionally backing the screw all the way out.
- When using SBR’s and / or suppressors the bleed off port allows the excessive pressure to be exhausted out of the block reducing blow back.

Great piston kit, well made, easy to install and gas properly
TL DR: Just buy a SA piston kit, put it on a decent barrel and enjoy. This is the second SA piston kit I've purchased and the first one from AR15discounts and I will definitely buy again in the future. I like the paired faxon barrel and the fit is great. The piston kit for me is going to be suppressed the entire time it is on my build due to it being a recessed can into handguard, and even with a high back pressure can, the adjustment was able to be tuned properly for good ejection and low gas back in the face. Due to the piston design it really kills off the gas at the shooter and you only have a fraction of the gas pressure back in the face. If you are looking at gas busting charging handles to deal with gas, this is a far better solution. You can add a gas busting handle to really bring it to the n-th level but its not necessary outdoors at all. As other shooters have noted, its not a hard barrel to hit targets accurately at range. I've put an slx 3x micro prism from primary arms on this build and had no issue hitting out to 375 yards on a 60% ipsc silhouette, that wasn't even fully zero'd yet. Like I said, this is the second piston kit I've bought and I will do another build in the future. It's well made, it works. Nuff said.

Great System Combo
This system is easy to assemble, easy to adjust, and easy to clean. The gas was not dumped on the bolt. So it was quick and easy to clean the bolt. If you get this combo most of your upper part is already completed for a pretty good price. You will have to still buy a Bolt, bolt spring, Cam pin, firing pin and firing pin retaining pin. Which, besides the bolt, are all small parts that are pretty cheap.
Great combo.
Wanted light weight 10.5 pistol build. This fit the ticket. Ended up with 6.8 lbs complete with optic and empty mag. Functions 100%. Zeroed at 25yds with small group. And was able to hit steel out to 350yds easily. Would highly recommend faxon and superlative parts.
