The CCT single stage AR-15 trigger features a 3.5 lb. ultra-crisp break with no creep and an extremely fast reset allowing for fast and accurate shooting. The high power hammer spring minimizes lock time and ensures reliable primer ignition. In order to achieve such a smooth and consistent trigger pull, CMC utilizes a proprietary machining process to get the sear surface finishes down to 1-2 RMS compared to EDM machining which can only achieve 32 RMS. For comparison a mirror is 0 RMS. Additionally, the sear engagement overlap is six to eight times greater than the competition to allow for a greater degree of safety and reliability. Easy install, works on rimfire.
I was in the market for a drop-in lighter trigger for a pair of M&P 15-22 P.C. models. While doing my research, I kept running across a common theme, many big name drop-ins have light primer strike issues in .22lr AR15 systems. The CMC 3.5 lb combat curve hybrid was highly recommended, and I couldn't find any posts about light strike issues. Installation took me about 10 minutes per rifle, including cleaning the crusty boogers hiding underneath the OEM trigger. Took it to the range, and didn't have any issues. The trigger is crisp, and I prefer the shape over the old trigger. The contact pad, while still curved, is slightly wider, and slightly straighter, felt much better in prone position. Great upgrade.
