This .223 Wylde chambered 16 inch barrel is machined from 416R Stainless Steel with a bead blasted finish. Our Premium Series Barrels feature a FailZero Nickel Boron Coated Extended M4 Feed Ramp Extension.
This barrel features some of the most aggressive and weight reducing flutes on the market. Coming in at a total weight of 27 oz. We’ve managed to cut almost a pound out of the barrel while not sacrificing one ounce of accuracy.

Perfect balance
The weight saved with the flutes on this BA SPR Fluted SS 1:8 barrel makes for perfect balance in my rifle build. The finish is excellent. I have a few BA barrels and they are all very precise shooters. However, my 1/2-28 muzzle device would not initially thread onto the barrel. This same device threads onto every other 1/2-28 threaded barrel I own. Instead of chasing the threads on the barrel, I opted to chase the threads on the muzzle device with a class 2 tap. After that, the muzzle device threaded on with minimal resistance (still minor) and torqued perfectly. Overall, I still give this barrel 5 stars.
USI've Had My Eye On This Barrel
I've had my eye on this barrel for a while now. I saw that AR-15 Discounts had it on sale for $119.99. That is a crazy good deal. All the reviews look great, however on Reddit there seems to be mixed opinions on ballistic advantage. I took a chance and ordered this barrel. AR-15 Discounts not only had the best price but from the day I purchased it to my front door was 3 days. I ordered some stuff from Palmetto on the same day and it still hasn't even shipped yet. The fit and finish on this Barrel look amazing. It's got some weight to it which I guess I didn't expect but that's good for accuracy. After inspection the barrel looks absolutely flawless. I can't wait to include it in my new build. I'm pairing it with a Zev receiver set with a SOLGW handguard. I'm going to give it a good cleaning and oiling. I also purchased a new Centurian Model H SS. I am more excited to build out and shoot the Ballistic Advantage. I will update my review after my first 100 shots.

The only thing I did after mounting this barrel on an upper was give it a good scrubbing. With ****** reloads (my reloads) I was getting 2" groups at 100 yards. Just think what it can do with a good break in procedure and my best reloads. MOA, here I come. This is barrel 4 from BA for me.
