Similar to A2 style brake, the open top slots and closed bottom increase muzzle control and reduce dust signature making it compliant with California Featureless laws. The end is also blocked to reduce recoil. 1/2″ x 28 threads .223/ 5.56 compatible. *This device will not reduce or remove flash.

Regarding this muzzle break, all positive comments anyone has made elsewhere are TRUE, and, in-addition (and not mentioned anywhere I looked), when installed, IT ALLOWS THE ADDITION OF A STANDARD M10 BAYONET, as it is the CORRECT length and diameter to allow proper fitment (on a RIFLE LENGTH upper receiver); and at the right price !!!
