Trying to make an old school looking AR15 and this is another piece of the puzzle.

As mentioned in the title it's not in spec, the backstrap extends to much to the rear to be flush with the receiver, you can see this in the other customers photos. (mine is identical), I'm not a purist but this is a huge oversight to make, as the A2 I threw on instead as a placeholder mates up better and looks more accurate if I was to do a gordy build. the grip is serviceable, if you can live with a shelf between the grip and receiver. it seems well made but it is probably better suited for an AR10 retro build, not an M16A1. I've contacted AR15D to get an exchange.
