AR15 Discounts Statement on Ninth Circuit Federal Court of Appeals Opinion on Large Capacity Magazine Ban

This statement is current as of September 8th, 2020.

The Ninth Circuit Federal Court of Appeals issued a much-anticipated opinion on August 14 finding the large capacity magazine ban is unconstitutional. As the court said, “California’s near-categorical ban of LCMs infringes on the fundamental right to self-defense…. [I]t substantially burdens the core right of self-defense guaranteed to the people under the Second Amendment. It cannot stand.”

Which is awesome…

Due to the opinion, AR15Discounts.com will accept orders from California for large capacity magazines. If your order is accepted, the inventory is held in reserve for you. However, we cannot ship any of those orders until the stay (the one which originally ended Freedom Week 1.0) has lifted. This could be hours, days or weeks from now. We’ll ship all CA orders immediately once this stay has been lifted. You will also be able to cancel your order at any time right from your account dashboard.

UPDATE 9/8/20

There never ended up being a window during which we could legally ship these magazines out. We will begin the process of canceling and refunding orders which have been on hold. We know this is a bummer and obviously we wish it would have worked out differently.
