The Vltor Pistol Caliber Carbine Modular Upper Receiver (MUR) is a unique AR-15 Flat-Top upper receiver that undergoes a rigorous quality control procedure during manufacture to ensure a precise, strong and consistent product that will serve the shooter for a lifetime. Vltor CNC-Machines the 7075 Aluminum Forging only after it has been fully stress relieved, and then heat- and cryogenically treated. Each upper is finished by hand and all critical dimensions inspected, and finally given a protective Type III, Class 2 Hard Anodized Finish.
Note:Â This MUR Upper’s Modular Side Plate comes equipped with the Shell Deflector Only, it does not have provision for a forward assist.

Awesome gas deflection
Bought this for a dumb suppressed 9mm build. This thing has zero gas blow back with the right charging handle, probably due to the huge deflector by the ejection port. Literally no gas blow back; I get more gas to my face with an AP5 than this. Apart from that being pretty rad, the upper itself is well finished with a dark dull blue/purple anodizing that looks gorgeous, and seems well made. This would be my 4th MUR build, but first 9mm. Highly recommend, very satisfied.
