Sprinco AR-15/10 Buffer Spring

Please take a look at the description below, to see which buffer spring will work best for your build.
Standard AR15/M4 buffer springs (aka “action springs”) are wear items which must be replaced regularly in order for AR-15s to operate reliably, with conservative replacement taking place every 5000 rounds. Sprinco action springs in comparison, are over engineered and will last over 50,000 cycles.
Sprinco Chrome Silicon buffer springs are heat treated, stress relieved, and dual-stage shot peened in separate post winding treatments. Sprinco also treats each spring with a proprietary, deep-penetrating, re-micronized (to .3 Micron particle size), inhibited, Molybdenum-Disulfide (MoS2) formulation to eliminate 90% of all mechanical wear on the spring: this is why Sprinco springs do not produce the spring sound during shooting which is common with standard action springs.
Select from the following options:
- RED: Extra Power Spring
The option with the most spring tension, this spring is suited for rifles and carbines with excessive bolt speeds. This spring is suitable for 14.5″/16″ uppers with carbine length gas systems (which are typically over gassed), all suppressed rifles, piston operated rifles, and 9mm conversions
- BLUE: Medium “Enhanced” Power Spring
A slight increase in spring power makes this spring suited for rack grade weaponry with normal operation parameters. 16″ rifles with midlength gas systems, short barreled rifles with carbine length gas systems, etc.
- WHITE Standard “Regular” Power Spring
Equivalent spring power of a “fresh” AR15/M4 carbine action spring, this spring is for users who do not want to dabble with improving performance with extra power springs, but do not want to frequently replace their action springs as well
- YELLOW Reduced Power Spring
Useful for undergassed rifles, such as some midlength gas rifles or “Dissipator” builds which is apparent with rifles that short stroke or have weak ejection patterns
- Red/White Intermediate Power Spring
Optimal for use with AR-15’s with a carbine buffer tube and a carbine to midlength gas system.
AR-15 Rifle / Fixed Stock Spring
- GREEN Rifle Length Spring
In addition to use in 5.56 Fixed Stock Rifles, the “Green Spring” is just the ticket for use in the VLTOR A-5 Stock System using their standard weight (5.2 Oz.) buffer for maximum versatility with almost any 5.56 upper barrel configuration, both with or without a “can”
AR-10/SR-25 pattern rifles
- ORANGE .308 Extra Power Carbine Spring (DPMS/SR-25 Pattern)
The ONLY spring specifically engineered for .308 Carbine Platforms that use 7″ Depth M4 extension tubes and short 2.5″ Buffers (including aftermarket “heavy buffers”), this list includes: DPMS, Bushmaster (Post 2010), Remington, CMMG, Mega, SA Defense, Colt 901, Rock River Arms, and more

Springco
I think these springs are probably good springs, I purchased these spring to tune my rifle length buffer system in my 18'' 6.5Grendel, unfortunately they do not cycle reliably in this caliber, these springs are for a 5.56, IMO I think the pressure difference between these 2 cartridges is why I'm having short stroking with the Grendel, I have 4 6.5GRR rifles and getting the right spring can be a challenge! what works in 1 gun may not work in another!
High Value Upgrade to Any AR
This was my 2nd sprinco buffer spring. I am overall very pleased with the experience. The recoil was a lot less harsh and sporadic. Its hard to explain but I'll try: The bolt carrier travels back and connects with the buffer then compresses the buffer spring, the bolt carrier then launches forward. If there's too much resistence when the carrier hits the buffer it's very noticeable. If the spring isn't very well made the compression and decompression of the spring is a bit disjointed. This is what I believe causes harsh recoil and has more to do with the spring in my opinion than anything. I purchased a blue power spring and H1 buffer to install in a pretty budget friendly Midlength PSA I've been working on lately. A lot of people would recommend a H2 buffer but I wanted to prevent any potential cycling issues. This did the trick. The recoil is much smoother and overal creates a very pleasant shooting experience.
Excellent spring
I purchased a Blue spring for my 11.5” pistol build paired with a H2 buffer. This set up is great as far as recoil goes. I went a little further and added a warhog compensator. There is no recoil to speak of and keeps me on target for follow up shots. Don’t hesitate to put chase Sprinco springs for the price.
