I have owned and assembled weapons with most available braces. One of the major shortcomings is the deformation, due to soft materials, heat and storage variations. The harder more rigid materials and tighter tolerance's make this viable for brace or shoulder use and allows a useful cheek weld. It’s also is adjustable, stable, and allows use of higher optic mounts.
