Purebred – 18 .223 Wylde Barrel: This Rosco 18 .223 Wylde Barrel was made to enhance the performance of the original MK12 SPR. The medium contour is well suited for cold bore shots on target as well as keeping the weight at a great balance. Gas ports were sized according to the most popular precision bullet weights and suppressor use.
Rosco Manufacturing’s Purebred series is a testament to precision and quality manufacturing. We took a step back to see how we could create a barrel line that would be a culmination of all the lessons learned through years of making barrels for several OEM’s. The result is a barrel that will produce results out of the box for any shooter that is looking to take their skills above and beyond. All of our Purebred barrels are made from scratch in our Rhode Island facility and start life as a blank piece of 416R stainless steel.
Aside from making our own barrel blanks, and barrel extensions, we also hold ourselves to the most stringent quality standards. This is the only way that we can make sure that we are producing a product that will perform time after time under the demanding of situations. We are setting out to re-define the rules and we plan on letting our work do the talking

USGreat 223 wylde barrel
I bought this barrel to replace a budget 18 inch barrel that didn't care for any brands or weights. This rosco shoots great, way better than the old barrel. It likes so far the imi 5.56 77g, 223 federal gm 73 berger, 223 adi 55g blitzking and frontier 5.56 68g match. Can't wait to try others. Great quality barrel at a very good price. As usual great shipping.

Heard about these barrels from a friend, decided which one I wanted and ordered on a Saturday night. Wednesday morning I had it in my hands and the workmanship is unbelievable. Got it all installed can't wait to shoot it. Unfortunately it's been windy and rainy pretty much every chance I've had since installed.
USRosco 18” purebred.
I’ve heard about Rosco barrels and own 2 of the 16” bloodline but wanted to try the 18” So ordered the 18” purebred. Built the upper and headed to the ranger couple days after. Was very unhappy after first couple shots, this is a rifle length gas system which should mean smoother recoil impulse but recoil was worse then cheap carbine gas rifle. Case mouths were damaged during extraction (over gassed) and I had a case head separation (very scary). The gas block used is a Troy and the barrel is dimpled an aligned properly. Not sure if gas port is over sized? Why the case head separated is unknown at this time. But will say the finish of the barrel looks great but there is differently a problem. The few shots taken didn’t group and after case head separation I stopped.
