223 Wylde is a hybrid of the 223 REM and 5.56. 223 Wylde has a chamber throat that is tighter than the 5.56 achieving better accuracy but still reliably functional with 5.56 ammunition. All DI barrels include stainless steel tunable gas block.

I have no real complaint aginst this barrel or the service from Ar15 Discounts. It looks great..shoots great. The finish on my Barrel wasnt as smooth as I wanted...very shiny but it had some machine grooves that gave it a slight matt finish. I loaded it into my lathe and polished it to a chrome like finish in no time. I love it now. UPS lost the first barrel...no fault on Ar15 Discounts..they responded quickly and sent another barrel via USPS. They did a fine job in helping me.

Found this barrel on sale. So I bought it and built a new upper for my AR. WOW! What a great barrel. 1/2 MOA all day long. So now I’m nailing those 2,3 and even 400 yard shots. 18” barrel is just a little heavy but no bad. Thanks Odin.

So far so good. Did a 10 shot barrel break in and then did some group testing with a few factory loads for predator hunting. All were around 1 moa or better with the best being .5 moa. Not bad for factory loads in an ar15.
