We also use a steel gas block as opposed to aluminum, quality American Made M-LOK handguards and one of the nicest nitrided A2s you’ll find anywhere. This also means taking the time to ensure that the upper will function reliably. We use Permatex 242 on key components while using mil-spec AEROSHELL 33MS Anti-Seize grease on the properly torqued barrel nut and muzzle device.

Shoots well
I got a free scope with an ammo purchase and decided to get a "cheap" upper, and got this. I have 2 other 16" uppers, DD m4v7 and an Aero Precision. At the moment, this upper shoots better than the DD and as good as the Aero. I put in a suppressor ready BCG and suppressor and am quite happy with this poverty pony. Fit up is slop free with both Aero M4 and x15 lowers.

USBest Budget Upper Build by My Book
Glad I went with the slick side style upper, looks and is easy to clean. Fit fairly snug to my Aero lower. First 300 rounds ran flawlessly so far with a nitride BCG. No frills handguard appears well milled & install well timed; it fits nice in the hand with no sharp edges. Would be great if it had some lightening cuts around the pic rail or a shorter option was offered. Barrel could stand to be lighter, but it seems to yield great accuracy & is easier to stabilize I suppose. It also seemed to barely heat up after a bit of rapid fire. Still need to get a hold of better quality ammo, but best group so far was 2 MOA with cheap 62g Winchester green tips; not bad for a beginner & his first build.
USHonestly the best bang for your dollar
No slop tolerance, lightweight, durable and accurate. What else could you ask for? Definitely coming back for a FDE and a OD Green set.
