An affordable pistol upper assembly without cutting corners. This means using a nitrided steel gas block from an American Manufacturer as opposed to aluminum and quality American Made handguards, paired with a 7.5″ Nitride treated barrel chambered in 5.56 NATO.
This also means taking the time to ensure that the upper will function reliably. We use Permatex 242 on key components while using mil-spec AEROSHELL 33MS Anti-Seize grease on the properly torqued barrel nut and muzzle device.
Bottom line is this: you hear all the time about guys buying a budget upper and it not lasting or having to send it back because of some hardware defect or other issue caused by a careless assembly process. NBS 7.5 Upper
It was exciting to get to build off a small barrel like this. Guns are fun to shoot, and this is no exception. Maybe I will come back to this review a year later but in the meantime, it’s great! I’ve put ~100rds so far. I look forward to make this a great small rifle.
