The NBS 22″ .243 Winchester M-LOK Upper Assembly is a great option for those looking to hunt small to medium game with their AR. With a flat trajectory and and very low recoil, compared to .308, the .243 Winchester cartridge is a no-brainer to add to your collection. To start, this upper is built on an 7075-T6 upper receiver which provides a solid foundation for the 22″ Stainless .243 Winchester Barrel. This upper features a Black Nitride 9310 steel AR-10 BCG which has been MPI tested.
As always we’re using solid components, like a QPQ Nitride gas block and a stainless steel gas tube, finished off with a Jet Black A2 style muzzle device. The finish on this A2 is much better than the parkerizing of most other A2s. We also assemble each upper according to strict standards. This includes dimpling the barrel, using semi-permanent thread locker on the proper components and anti-seize grease on the properly torqued barrel nut and muzzle device.
Bottom line is this: you hear all the time about guys buying a budget upper and it not lasting or having to send it back because of some hardware defect or other issue caused by a careless assembly process.
