We wanted to build an affordable upper assembly without cutting corners. This means using a nitrided steel gas block from an American Manufacturer as opposed to aluminum, quality American Made handguards and using a proven M16 profile phosphate BCG paired with a NBS Premium Series 16″ Mid-Length Barrel.
We use Permatex 242 on key components while using mil-spec AEROSHELL 33MS Anti-Seize grease on the barrel nut and muzzle device.

decent accuracy, very good deal
TLDR review: no brainer buy at $320-330ish, decent accuracy. Haven't built the entire thing yet but I put the upper on a lower i have, to shoot groups. I shot at 50 yard, with 8x magnification, front and rear shooting bags. 2moa 5 shot group with 77g aac ammo, I did not pull that flyer, everything is completely stabilized. If you get better 77g ammo maybe you'll get better accuracy but this accuracy is already beyond what I could expect at this price point. 5moa with Winchester M193, but Winchester is known for big groups, maybe i'll try another M193 one day. The scope was not zeroed hence the weirdly placed groups. I got this for $330ish; just the vortex red dot is $70 on sale. no brainer buy.
