This upper also includes the wildly popular NBS Premium Series 16″ .223 Wylde Barrel. This also means taking the time to ensure that the upper will function reliably. We use Permatex 242 on key components while using mil-spec AEROSHELL 33MS Anti-Seize grease on the properly torqued barrel nut and muzzle device.

I got this on sale, GREAT PRICE! Solid upper after 500 rounds A++!
UPDATE AFTER FIRING: I bought this upper on sale in December of 2024. I built an Aero Precision M4E1 lower to pair it with, this included a, Timney AR Impact 3.5lb trigger, a Radian Enhansed Blemn BCG, ambi safety, an Burris RT-5 5x magnified red dot, and a breek arms WarHammer charging handle. I also put on a set of "Leapers" offset 45 degree iron sights. I used a 4.6oz H2 buffer with milspec spring, milspec 6 position buffer tube, and a B5 SopMod stock. All in all I'm very happy with the build. The upper came fully assembled, very nice. This barrel profile isn't the lightest, additionally neither is the handguard. This fact didn't bother me at all. The barrel is .223 WYLDE for better accuracy. The fine print also says this upper has a "SUB MOA" guarantee when using proper shooting technique and match grade ammo. After putting about 500 rounds of Winchester 55 gr 5.56 NATO ammo through it, I am totally and thoroughly impressed with the quality and accuracy for the price. This upper is accurate! Build quality was good, nothing loose after 500 rounds! I can safely recommend this upper, especially if you can get it on sale. Highly recommend!

Paired this with an existing lower, added 3.5 drop in trigger, upgraded stock and grip and a light and a Primary Arms 1-6 scope with far forward primary arms mount, that is it. A rather eco/reasonable build. Was hoping it would function and shot 2.5 moa. Well tried it with 62 and 55 grain ammo, several different brands. (BTW the 1/8 is the way to go to shoot 90 percent of the 223/556 ammo you will find on the shelf and can afford to shoot. Who can afford to shoot the heavy stuff anyway?) Went to the range which is maxed at 90 yards, so my groups were 90 yards, that being said it shot everything I put in it like a laser beam. Ran flawless from round one with several different mags. It seems to shoot 55 and 62 grain about the same, both under 1 inch at 90 yards with no problem. Used a lot of Defender ammo, which is also great for the money. I am planning on some coyote thinning so I needed some hunting ammo. Ought some sp 55 grain Hordany and printed several 1/2 groups. (I was shooting prone off a bag). This upper will shoot! I am so happy with it and for the price, I am stoked. Highly recommend this upper and the 1/8 twist with the Wylde chamber. I still don't know why anyone who shoots 55 and or 62 grain most of the time would go with the 1/7. Hoping to see more 1/8 uppers in the future because this is why I bought from here to be honest. PSA is almost all 1/7. That being said I am glad I did and I am so satisfied with my purchase from here, new loyal customer.
