My pistol length barrel has a Key-Mod handguard, and my rifle length barrel has M Lok. I order this for my rifle handguard but tested it on the pistol and they fit perfectly, no cutting or modifying necessary. If you do need to shorten them there are groves that can be used as guides for straight cuts. I mention the fitment because I saw a review saying they didn't fit Key Mod without cutting but that review is a few years old so the product may have improved since then. My only complaint, and not big enough to lose a star, is that the bottom cover sticks out a bit where the gas block is. It is only about an eighth of an inch and can be fixed by trimming a bit of material where the gas block is, but it is barely noticeable so I left it alone.
