Kaw Valley Precision Linear Comps are part of a small family of compensators aimed at taming muzzle concussion. The KVP Magnum Linear Comp, collects and redirects muzzle gases away from the shooter. This redirection helps reduce the perceived decibels the shooter experiences at his or her ear. By pushing excessive noise and concussion downrange, not only will the shooter experience a much softer shooting experience, bystanders will also benefit from the redirection of the muzzle gasses. Kaw Valley Precision has been a part of many successful applications of our linear comps in many shooting disciplines including: CQC (close quarters combat), Competitive Shooting, Varmint Hunting, Law Enforcement, and Indoor Ranges to name a few.
The Magnum Linear Comp is machined from carbon steel, QPQ Black Nitride finished, and can be used in any rifle cartridge application. Magnums are a larger form factor comp, for use in pistol and rifle builds. The Magnum Linear Comp fills the gap that the XL Linear Comp family couldn’t fill. (XL Linear Comps PCC only) The hexagonal flats allow for easily accessible wrench flats down the entire body of the comp. Installation and removal of the Magnum Comp is a breeze, even while partially installed under a hand guard.

Well worth the added length and weight
An A2 flash hider on a 10.5 inch 5.56mm upper made for noticeable concussion to shooters beside me. This blast diverter took care of all of that. I think it might be a little less noisy for the shooter, but it is much better for the others beside me. I had originally mounted this with a crush washer and without thread locker as a temporary solution and sort of forgot about it. I had put a few hundred rounds through it without issue. This last time shooting, I was dealing with a wandering zero and groups of various sizes. After shooting 120 rounds, I discovered the device was loose on the barrel. I have removed the crush washer and applied red thread locker to cleaned threads. I haven't tested it yet after curing, but I expect no problems. I don't plan on using any other muzzle device on this upper as I am completely satisfied with the results and performance for the price.

It's not a suppressor! However, on short barreled ARP setups this gets that fireball away from your face! My only experience with this device is on a 7.5" 5.56... In that scenario, it's pure gold. I LOVE IT and my eyelashes thank you.

I bought this to occupy the space on the muzzle until my suppressor comes out of lock up. It is the same length and approximate weight so those factors help. I like using it at the range, now complaints for neighboring shooters.

Nice comp with a really good coating. I think it performs better than my over priced SureFire Warden. Definitely made me rethink how much you need to spend for a good linear Comp
