Kaw Valley Precision 22 Caliber Linear Comp
Kaw Valley Precision Linear Comps are part of a small family of compensators aimed at taming muzzle concussion. The KVP linear comp, collects and redirects muzzle gases away from the shooter. This redirection helps reduce the perceived decibels the shooter experiences at his or her ear. By pushing excessive noise and concussion downrange, not only will the shooter experience a much softer shooting experience, bystanders will also benefit from the redirection of the muzzle gasses. Kaw Valley Precision has been a part of many successful applications of our linear comps in many shooting disciplines including: CQC (close quarters combat), Competitive Shooting, Varmint Hunting, Law Enforcement, and Indoor Ranges to name a few.

I just wanted something to tame the noise on a pistol build. It does the job. The FDE finish is good, and matches the rest of the build well.

USEffective sound and blast reduction at shooter's ear
Shooting done with Winchester M193 and a 16" barrel, outdoors on an open range. Approximately 250 rounds. Using this device reduces sound experienced by the shooter and bystanders by an immediately noticeable amount. The addition of the device was comparable to adding ear plugs under my shooting earmuffs. In open terrain, I could shoot maybe 3 rounds without ear protection before discomfort or ringing were experienced, versus experiencing moderate pain and ringing on the first shot with an A2 flash hider. Some reviews describe "recoil reduction". These people have not shot the device or are experiencing placebo effect. The device increases felt recoil compared to an A2 flash hider, and causes a small increase in backpressure in the gas system. The recoil impulse was like that of a bare muzzle, and my brass was ejected at 3:30 instead of the usual 4:00. Shooting in low light reveals that this device has no flash reducing properties whatsoever, creating large, bright fireballs similar to a bare muzzle. The device is made of aluminum.
USKVP Linear Comp (FDE) - Fantastic for you AR Pistol/SBR
These are great on a rifle, but even better on a pistol/SBR. Other people at the range will thank you for it, and your own ears will too (even if you don't realize it). For those that just can't afford a suppressor.
