According to School of the American Rifle (SOTAR)’s Chad Albrecht, this can lead to poor fit and speed up wear on the bolt. Extra wear on the bolt means more bolts breaking. FCD's Np3 cam pin with witness mark is a great addition to the heart of your build. Immediately noticed an improvement in cycling efficiency upon installation. The witness mark helps you to always know to put the pin in the same way every time you assemble/disassemble your bcg, therefore reducing all around wearing from friction on the pin, focusing it all to one side (see description of course, and check out SOTAR's video about it). Np3 is a top tier coating that will greatly increase the lifespan and reduce wear and tear on your cam pin. Slid in very smoothly and had no side to side play, very nice, firm tolerances. When dealing with the heart and soul of your setup, never settle for cheap parts, for barrel and bcg, paying the extra few bucks is always worth it. A good barrel and bcg will allow alot more wiggle room for other budget parts for your build. Or if you're just looking to upgrade your stock bcg cam pin, this is about as good an option as you can pick. Can't go wrong with FCD, great company with high quality components that are worth the few extra bucks. They really put in alot of fine detail work into their parts. As always, ARD is painless to deal with, shipping is fast and very human. Can't say enough good about both of these companies! Thanks! Will buy one for any bcg I get in the future.
