6.5 Grendel is known for being an extremely accurate and capable round at longer distances than the 5.56 round and can be fired from the same AR-15 platform. Criterion Barrels now offers a custom made 6.5 Grendel barrel with all the accuracy enhancing qualities you expect. These match grade barrels are machined from a block of stainless steel and feature their popular hybrid profile. This profile combines the accuracy benefits of a heavy barrel profile but tapers towards the muzzle to help reduce weight, making it much more maneuverable and easy to carry. These barrels feature a 1:8 button rifled twist rate and are hand-lapped to ensure every land and groove is smooth and consistent. This barrel is great for building a precision rifle that performs excellent at distance while being compatible with most AR-15 components.

The rifle length gas system on this barrel has a .750” gas block diameter and features a dimple beneath the gas port for installing a set screw style gas block. This simple addition helps to lock the gas block down and ensures it won’t move while shooting.
