Due to the forging house cutting us out we are now releasing a new Bootleg Upper Receiver. Machined out of 7075 Billet Aluminum, MIL-SPEC Hard Anodizing, Forward assist eliminated for weight saving and reduced snag risk, for a total of 7.2 oz in weight. Low Profile brass deflector captured dust cover door pin eliminating the need for the E clip.

Love this upper!!
This thing in solid, very durable, and also lightweight as advertised. Ejection port cover is easy to swap out, and every charging handle I tried out functioned perfectly. No issues with barrel, barrel nut, or gas tube fitting securely. The only issue I ran into was with the handgaurd I purchased, the STNGR HWK 15in. It wouldn’t fully slide onto the barrel nut, due to the anti-rotation tabs sticking so far out. I shaved them down, and everthing fit and functions flawlessly. This is now one of my favorites AR platforms. Bootleg Inc did a fantastic job designing this upper!!
