This Ballistic Advantage Performance Series 16 5.56 Hanson Profile Barrel is machined using 4150 Chrome Moly Vanadium steel with a QPQ Nitride Finish. Performance Series barrels are enhanced with a FailZero Nickel Boron Coated M4 Feed Ramp Extension making it easy to clean and an ideal choice for pairing with a Nickel Boron bolt.
Hanson Series Barrels feature Ballistic Advantage’s proprietary BA Hanson profile and include a pinned low profile gas block. These Hanson barrels will not work with aftermarket piston kits.

Well made, looks goox
I fitted the 16" withe a black melanite gas tube and a 12.5" STNGR Hawk handguard. The barrel only weighs 22 ounces. The rifle really looks bad ***. Highly recommend it. It gets very good groups.

Although I ended up having to return my barrel due to financial reasons, Having done quite a bit of research I know that Ballistic Advantage barrels are worth the money. Especially if you plan on buying a nickle boron BCG, the NB coating the Ballistic Advantage will help. As far as AR15DISCOUNTS goes, they are one of the better sellers out there. Everyone is super helpful and very responsive. I'll definitely be buying from them again once i can.

It performs great! The barrel is light weight, accurate, and rounds cycle reliably through it. Just what I wanted for a varmint gun for my 126 mile trapline in Bush Alaska that I run on a snow machine! Every ounce counts, but every piece of equipment needs to be tough as well as light weight, and this product meets both of those requirements.
