WAY BETTER than the Juggernaut
Already had the complete Juggernaut system installed to break the action but no holding of the bolt back. With the AR-Maglock solves that issue without the need of a AR-KingPin. The KingPin is great also since it’s a slimmer design than the Juggernaut which is cumbersome to the thumb. Easy install. Use blue lock tight not red and don’t drill, which is meant to make permanent; not necessary. This is as close to coming as a regular AR setup behind the lines in California. AR-15discoints.com prices reasonable and received within 5 days of order. I’ll be back!
It's okay.
This set allows you to regain the "last round bolt hold open" function of your AR. But the practicality of that depends on the AR. With this kit a lot of ARs like mine won't allow the action to open big enough to release the mag. You won't know til you try it on. You'll still have to release the bolt first before you can open the action. Guess that's why Juggernaut Hellfighter deleted this extra step. Whether that's a plus or minus, I'll leave that to the user. It does let you stay compliant though.
AR Maglock because I want my features!
I had the JT Hellfighter and I realized I didn't like their mag lock mechanism so I bought this. (My life was incomplete living bereft of a bolt catch/release). I kept the release pin from JT Hellfighter so this mag lock provideda better combo. Yes, yes...I know I should have done more research and looked into the King Pin first, but that ship has sailed and here I am now. I did have to sand down the piece that prevents you from pushing the mag release. It was not flush with the receiver bodies so I could not close the upper and lower. This was no big deal because Dremel fixed that in less than 60 seconds.
