Aero Precision’s new Aero Precision M4E1 Threaded Upper Receiver (formerly known as the Gen 2 Upper receiver) gives you that angled billet look without the high cost or the fitment issues many builders experience when trying to mate a non-matching billet upper/lower receiver. Aero precision has machined this stripped upper to accept a standard AR-15 barrel nut and mil-spec upper parts (Forward Assist & Dust Cover not included).

Great upper
I really like this upper! The set screw for the forward assist should be an industry standard. I will definitely buy again!!!
USI needed an upper
Installed easily. Threaded pins are super nice for installing FA. When attached with a lower there is no slop or big gaps. Takedown and pivot pins pass through the lugs smoothly but fit tight. No issues with detent holes having filings or coating bits. Finish is even and clean. Bcg and charging handle installed with no issues. No too heavy. Not too flimsy. Aero makes a decent product most of the time. *No pictures. Not a fan of posting my guns online.
USBest looking forged upper receiver
The horizontal angular lines on the M4E1 upper give it a sharp and slim appearance, while maintaining the strength of a forged upper compared to a billet. The flat top rail and all corners are perfectly smooth and dehorned compared to most mil-spec uppers, reducing snag. Surface finish is very smooth with no machining marks or burrs, and the anodizing is very uniform with a nice deep color.
