The Delta Series AR-15 Upper Vise Block is optimized for left hand and right hand Mil Spec A2 upper receivers with carry handles, as well as flattop style receivers. Other AR-15 variants may be adapted with special attention to potentially non-conforming surfaces or features. The Block allows you to safely clamp on to your AR-15 upper receiver in a vise holding it securely without twisting, crushing or marring the finish. This Block is the perfect product for torquing a barrel on, removing a stubborn barrel nut or for simple gun maintenance and cleaning. It is made of a high pressure, solvent resistant polymer material which can withstand almost anything you can throw at it. Great tool
For getting the barrel nut timed, this makes the job easy. Hard to beat for the price (barely more than two boxes of ammo these days). This is one of two AR tools I've not regretted buying - the other being Wheeler's bolt-catch pin punch.
USDoes the job
Does what I needed it to do. Much better than the last one I had that was just two halves and no hinge. Doesn't exactly fit the NBS slick side, but made it work.
USWheeler Vise Block
I actually already had a vise block. But wanted to purchase the gas tube alignment tool. I’m sure there’s some place where you can purchase just that tool , but I was unable to find it after months of searching. So I decided to by this block set. And so glad I did. The Vise Block construction was so much better than the one I previously had. It’s much stronger, it has a hinge, my old one did not, it was. 2 pcs. Looking forward to using this on many builds. I recommend it highly.
Vise block
Fits all my upper receivers, comes with gas tube guide rod. Makes it very easy to mount the barrel nut and Handguards quickly. Fast shipping as always.
Good, could be better
This upper vise block and gas tube alignment tool work alright for tightening down barrels and dealing with hand guards it just has a few limitations. I have the magpul bev block, that tool is far better for applying the correct torque to a barrel but. I had some stubborn barrel nuts on previous builds that the bev block wouldn’t work on though (9mm barrel and 22lr dedicated upper). This vise block has some limitations though. You have to remove any optics, won’t fit some billet uppers, and you have to remove some dust covers.
