The VLTOR A5 pistol length recoil system allows you to convert your AR pistol to the patented VLTOR A5 system! The A5 system is considered to be the most innovated upgrade for the AR platform, increasing the reliability and performance of any weapon. It is proven in reducing the cyclic rate of M4 carbines, lowering the bolt carrier velocity and eliminating the felt recoil. The system includes a pistol length buffer tube, mil-spec rifle spring, A5H2 5.3 oz buffer, VLTOR lock plate and lock nut. Length of tube from end of knurling is 6.45″.

USVltor A5 kit
Buffer tube works as advertised, good quality, and performs as expected. While my shoulder is far from a scientific measurement tool, I'd say this setup does in fact reduce felt recoil. Not necessary on a 5.56, but still makes for more accurate/quick follow up shots.
