Viridian HS1 M-LOK Hand Stop w/ Integrated Laser - 912-0031
Out of stock
The Viridian HS1 is a AR-15 handstop with integrated laser sighting device. It utilizes M-LOK mounting, double pressure activation buttons, adjustable windage and elevation, and an ergonomic design, which makes it the perfect accessory for your tactical firearm.
The unique double pressure activation buttons make the HS1 ideal for use on AR-style firearms as the laser can be activated when the shooter is using a thumb-over-bore or C Clamp grip, or a traditional off-hand rifle grip. The shooter gets all the protection of a handstop while utilizing a highly visible green laser sight for aiming.

"Just Received" kind of review
So, I can't really write a *really* valid review until about 1000 rounds have been put through the gun with this thing on it, so this is just an "out of the box" review. I purchased this for a 300ACC pistol buildout for my wife to use in home defense with hand-loaded 220 grain subsonic HPs (so defending the home doesn't lead to broken eardrums - a suppressor purchase is in the future). It also has a Sig red dot. I like the fact that it is an M-LOK mount as it reduces distance from the barrel's center. The gun has a fat handguard (1.8" ID) to clear the Superlative Arms bleed-away gas block - every mm counts to offset this so my wife can wrap her thumb on top and still hit the 4:30 placed light switch with her middle or ring finger. Note that there is no "always on" feature (which I like) - if you depress the button it's on, if you release the button it's off. This prevents accidentally flagging yourself to the black hat invading your domicile. Pros: 1) Low profile - great overall design, will work well combined with low upper red dot for close work in front of the zero point to properly place shot in between red & green. 2) Green laser - Veridian's standard, but generally green > red, read up if you don't know why. 3) Reasonable cost 4) Independent from 1K Lum light - if one breaks, the other still works (combo only makes sense for pistols in my "2 is 1, 1 is none" reckoning; ex: Streamlight TLR-8A) 5) Dual purpose in that it's also a hand stop. Even if laser dies it's still a hand stop. Compare to #4 where I don't like dual purpose. The difference here is that the handstop function is physical not electronic - it serves a purpose even if laser breaks. If laser dies I would replace with a better one, but would leave this handstop on (with battery removed). Cons: 1) The "On" button sucks. It's placement is good, it is just very tiny and in an indent designed to prevent accidentally turning it on and flagging yourself. You have to really, really want to turn it on to find and depress the tiny, itsy-bitsy button-ette. I'm not sure you could find it with gloves on if working outside in cold weather. I like the concept of a depressed well to prevent accidental flagging, but the button is -literally- the size of a pin head. You need to use your fingertip like you were fingering the fretboard of a guitar. Summary: Overall, a solid product for in-home defense purposes, but if I were looking for a real tactical gun I would get something beefier with better On switch. Only time, some abuse, and decent round count will tell how well this laser holds a zero and withstands ambient water.
