Purchased on sale. Much less expensive than any other site I checked, even calculating freight charges, I saved big time on this item. Service and shipping was, as usual, excellent. The vise arrived quickly, undamaged, and ready to assemble. Overall, the vise is excellent for light to medium gun work. I read in one online review that it broke during a barrel change, so be cautious if you plan on using this for extra heavy duty gun work. For me, it will do everything I want and expect it to do. I know that Tipton just released a new model of this, but if it means I get this at $50 I'll take it. It can be a little fidgety to get your rifle clamped in. Once you do though it makes general maintenance and cleaning much easier than working off of a table. I would definitely buy this again at the sell price. If we're paying full price go ahead and get the Tipton gun vise 2 or the ultra gun vise.
