I ordered this sight mostly because it's motion activated, and for a home protection item. The sight itself was easy to set and install. The quick release works well and seems to hold on tightly. The illumination is the right size and of multiple brightness so I was easily able to find the best setting for my use for daylight or indoors. It doesn't tell in the description but it actually does have an option to turn completely off, so that it's not activated if you wanted to have it as a truck gun.
