The Rock series is Rock Island Armory’s most well-optioned line of 1911 pistols built in the traditional 70 series design with the addition of next level upgrades. Like all Rock Island 1911s, each is built using 4140 ordnance steel on the industry’s best CNC machines while being hand-fitted and tested to strict tolerance guidelines for unmatched quality and value. The Rock Ultra full-size is built with a 5″ button rifled barrel supported by a full length guide rod. Smooth angled, snag-free style allows for quick draw in fast need situations. Includes LPA MPS1 Adjustable Type rear sight, a high visibility fiber optic front sight, skeletonized hammer and trigger with adjustable over travel stop and ambidextrous safety. Finished with a tough, parkerzied matte coating and comes with G10 tactical grips. True to all Rock Island 1911s, it comes with a crisp factory 1.36 kg – 1.81 kg trigger pull, making it a great experience right out of the box.

RIA 1911 FS ULTRA TAC II
This was my first 1911 bought it just 2 years ago. Not being cliché only honest, this 10MM 1911 is my favorite gun, and I do use it in rotation as an EDC. It is a beast, deadly accurate, from factory, I'm an older guy with arthritis in my wrists and hands so don't let it scare you. Head shots at 30ft. you have to be trying to miss, 4" groups at 15yds. It's also made to handle hot +P loads, like Buffalo Bore ammo. I'm former military combat, my guns serve a purpose, don't spend $2K unless you never intend to scratch or use yours, its a weapon. If you've been on the fence buy this last one available. A solid, hefty, accurate man's gun. I put new grips on mine and am going to do a cerakote job.
