Proof Research’s Caliber Matched Gas System results in a gas system tuned for the cartridge and length of the barrel.
With high performance cartridges such as 22 Nosler and 6.5 Creedmoor, the bore pressure remains higher further down the barrel.
Proof ensures the gas system pressure is the same as the AR platforms were originally designed by moving the port location., resulting in recoil impulse that is noticeably softer and produces less fouling in the receiver, increased reliability of extraction, and less wear and tear on brass.
