The Microdot, Removable Base, Advanced sight (MD-RB-AD) takes everything we learned from our best selling MD-ADS microdot and refines it a step further. The Primary Arms Advanced Micro Red Dot Sight features an estimated 50,000 hours of battery life from the included CR2032 battery, powering an ultra-sharp 2 MOA dot. Fully multicoated lenses and an ultra-low profile emitter ensure a clean sight picture with minimal lens tint. Eleven brightness settings are controlled by the rotary knob on the right side. The first two settings are compatible with night vision units and cannot be seen by the naked eye. The brightest settings are daylight bright. The illumination knob physically stops at “0” with the red dot turned off.

Covered by the Primary Arms lifetime warranty, this red dot sight is designed for use on heavy recoiling firearms such as shotguns and is constructed of 6061 aluminum with a Type II anodized matte black finish. Waterproofing is improved over previous models—for example, the turret caps are now aluminum instead of plastic and tighten down around the O-rings until metal-to-metal contact with the scope body. When removed, the turret caps can be used to adjust windage and elevation. It comes with a removable 1913 MIL STD Picatinny base. With the base removed, the scope body is compatible with industry standard micro mount systems, enabling The Advanced Red Dot to be mounted correctly on a wide variety of firearms.

Much better than expected
This RD is considerably better than I was expecting with a crisp 2 moa dot and good controls. All the features of an Aimpoint T1 except the price and submersion rating. NV settings are good with PVS-14 and unit is daylight bright @ high noon in Texas! Adjustments track correctly albeit a little stiff but once set it won't shake loose. Tool/Caps are nice. I got the FDE and Black, both look great on the corresponding builds. If you don't want to spend a fortune on an Aimpoint Micro, this might be your best alternative. Lastly, you will need a riser if used on an AR15..... I got crazy and bought the Scalarworks LEAP Absolute Co-Wintess (1.42") since the intended use requires optic change outs. I also used the PA GLx riser on the black since it stays put. Overall, should be a good compromise for a training setup. BTW, Primary Arms has great warranty service should you need it.

Good red dot. Built pretty well. Accidentally dropped it when I opened the box and didn’t even have a scratch. My old gripe is the knob is a bit stiff and tough to turn. But besides that it’s solid
