The GLx Riser Mount has arrived! Precision machined from lightweight 6061-T6 aluminum, this GLx mount has been optimized for use on the AR platform. The cantilevered design pushes your microdot forward slightly to provide that extra space should you wish to use a magnifier as a force multiplier behind your red dot sight. With a pair of solid steel cross bolts that both clamp to the top rail and function as recoil lugs, as well as integral recoil lug machined into the base, even the heaviest recoil is no match. An included .125” spacer even allows you to choose the optimal height for your red dot! Backed by our lifetime warranty, the GLx Riser Mount is the perfect fit for your favorite optics with industry standard mount interfaces.

Update to original review
Ok..... got ready to install for regular use and found that the threaded insert of the cross bolts sheared before I reached the recommended 65 in/lb. After the first one snapped, I got my other wrench and worked up to 42 in/lbs. before it too sheared! Primary Arms replaced with a new one so the solution is to reduce the final torque to 30-32 in/lbs. which should be plenty considering the design. Kudos to PA for the quick exchange. Why the spec is at 65 in/lbs. is a good question.... but I still stand by the mount review I originally posted with the exception to reduce the final torque. Lastly, I did find that return to zero is only possible IF you use a torque wrench set to the same spec upon remount. Not an issue if you have the tools. If not be prepared to adjust to get your zero back. Overall, still happy with the purchase!
USI'm a mount SNOB
But..... I have to concede this is one heavy duty mount and exceeds every expectation for use with the Primary Arms SLx Advanced Rotary Knob Microdot Red Dot Sight. You would be hard pressed to BLAST the mount off your weapon! Includes all wrenches and screws for installation. Even the box is heavy duty! Without exception, I have been using American Defense QD mounts but the intended use for this weapon really didn't require the QD since it is setup for co-witness. Dot sits perfectly on top of the front sight post and sights a clearly visible through the optic. The workmanship is truly outstanding and at first, when other mounts/risers are running $10-20, The price didn't make any sense. Then upon opening the box and handling/examining the finish, it is worth every penny and then some! Highly recommend this if you are looking for a T-1 type mount. Looks really cool too!
