I was questioning if I would like this barrel for my first build after seeing an 18” version on my dads build. When I received it the first thought was it is HEAVY and I still think that. However. Once I started using it I found that it holds true and is stable when I am shooting. The rifle length system and the extra weight helps minimize recoil and tuning the gas block helped even more. The only thing I have to say negative is the gas block is slightly large and in a slim handguard clearance is tight, and mlock screws maybe contact the barrel because of the thicker profile. Nothing to worry about screws can be filed shorter and I would do it again for a stable platform to shoot with.

I bore scoped the gas port during assembly so I could align correctly to gas block and was surprised to see considerable burs. After about 80 rounds, the gas port looks almost like it's been eroded. I'm going to contact Odin Works and see what they say about it.
