The ODIN Works 10.5 416R Stainless Steel Medium Profile Barrel comes in the well-known 9mm chamber. It has a Button-Rifled 1:10 twist rate (meaning the 9mm bullet makes one full rotation every 10 inches while inside the barrel), *1/2×28 thread pattern to fit all standard AR muzzle devices, and a Medium Profile barrel for rigidity and accuracy. This all comes together to provide you with a great 416R Stainless Steel Barrel that is ideally suited for the blowback type AR9 system. This one works with either the Colt magazine compatible AR9 lowers, or the Glock magazine compatible AR9 lowers, both of which are great choices.

*NOTE: Even though you are looking at 1/2×28 TPI brakes or flash hiders, you must be SURE that you get an AR muzzle device that is made for a 9mm (Or larger) bullet to travel through it because trying to shoot a 9mm through a .223 muzzle device will not end well.
NOTE: 416R is a Crucible brand steel and it was formulated specifically for barrels. Most types of steel, including normal 416SS are not designed to be used in freezing temperatures. But this steel was designed to operate in arctic temperatures, up to -40F. 416R also has greater accuracy potential than normal 416SS and 4150 steel due to its ability to take highly defined rifling and machining cuts. 416R Stainless steel has a 12-14% Chromium content. Generally, any steel with 13% or better Chromium is considered Stainless, so 416R could be considered non-stainless depending upon batch. Be sure to take good care of your barrel and it will serve you well for years to come.

Flawless
Worked perfectly as expected. I couldn't find this dimension anywhere so I thought I would share it. The end of the barrel is just over .750" in diameter. I bought a 3/4" dia thread protector and it lines up beautifully with the size of the barrel, looks like it was made for it. Highly recommend it, will probably buy the shorter barrel for the next one!
