The DT Carbine Stock is a drop-in replacement buttstock for AR15/M16/M4 carbines (or comparable platforms) equipped with Mil-Spec profile receiver extensions. It merges the best features of the SL® and CTR® product lines with its new dual tensioning technology, which provides greater strength and security for a more rugged and stable platform that’s easy to adjust.
The DT Stock is an A-frame style carbine stock that features an auto-engaging friction lock that’s reflexive and inert during adjustment. This produces additional tension on the buffer tube, providing extra tight lockup that minimizes movement between the stock’s lock pin and receiver extension. The result is increased durability in case of severe impacts and quick, smooth, and frictionless length-of-pull adjustments on the fly. Other features include a unique, non-slip butt-pad that matches the footprint of the SL line and incorporates the optimized curvature from the CTR, an ambidextrous adjustment lever, a rotation-limiting QD sling mount, and a 1.25” footman’s loop.

Great Stock!
I don't know why the other reviewers didn't give this stock 5 stars. It is the best collapsible stock Magpul has ever made (imho.) Lock up is tight, and yes it is a struggle to install but once it's on its staying. I bucked up for the .70 extended pad and I've never been happier. This is a great product. Thanks Magpul and AR15D.

I was drawn to give this stock a try for different reasons. The better buffer tube fit, it has QD swivel base installed, and its geometry. The bottom of the stock has enough flat to make shooting from a rest/bag easy, but not so much as to add unnecessary bulk. As mentioned in earlier reviews, it ain't exactly a "drop in" stock. Mine was a serious pain in the hand/fingers to install.I'm not the young weekend warrior I once was, weakened hands made the hex head wrench near useless as an aid in compressing the spring enough for installation. Easier installation would add the fifth star. I'm quite pleased with its fit and overall feel.

Seems pretty sold, certainly better than a CTR, way better than an MOE but still not as tight as an SL. My biggest gripe is that pulling it on and off isn't as easy as most of their adjustable carbine stocks, could be worse though and only takes an extra 10 secs hooking an Allen wrench as a pull tab.

My experience with ar15discounts was amazing as always super fast shipping and great prices but magpul failed on this one guys as a stock named the dual tension and on every magpul video they talk about tight lockup and no rattle and owning the sl stocks honestly that’s what I expected a tight fit no rattle BUT on multiple mil spec carbine reciever extensions and an a5 it’s nowhere near what they make it out to be lockup wise it’s like an original moe stock with an updated look truly disappointing if your looking for solid and stable buy an sl as I knew I should have too but their marketing got me…..
