Frequently Asked Questions

Are these screws compatible with all AKM rifles?

These screws are designed for stamped-receiver AKM models. Due to manufacturing variances, some fitting or drilling may be necessary for a perfect match, but they work well with most Polish and Eastern Bloc variants.

Do I need special tools for installation?

Standard screwdrivers (slotted or Phillips, depending on the head type) are typically sufficient. For best results, use a pilot hole and ensure the screws are tightened securely without over-torquing to avoid stripping.

Can I use hardware store screws as a substitute?

While possible, generic screws may not match the thread pitch or length, potentially causing looseness or damage. For authenticity and optimal performance, stick with dedicated AKM hardware like this set.
