The KAK Industry 1/2-28 Standard Extended Flash Can features is a simple yet effective flash can designed to directs gasses, noise and concussion down-range away from the shooter. This is especially useful when shooting a short barreled rifle or pistol build.
This extended version, at 5″ long it is a great option for those who are waiting for a suppressor or need to be able to swap between a recessed suppressor and a standard muzzle device for compliance reasons. The slots up front allow the user to torque the recessed flash can without removing the Handguard.
The flash can itself is machined from 6061 aluminum and is threaded for the 1/2×28 thread pattern found on many .223/5.56, .224 and 9mm barrels.
The bore is large enough to allow a 9mm projectile to pass through it and can handle full auto fire. It doesn’t create any back pressure so gas cutting is not a problem.
It can be torqued directly against the barrel shoulder so it is not necessary to time the device but you may use a crush washer (sold separately) to time it if desired.

AMAZING
This is pretty sweet tbh. It looks like a suppressor. But it doesnt sound like one... OBVIOUSLY. It also is one of THE BEST flash suppression devices i personally have ever used. I took a video of it at night. Barely can see the flash!! I 100% reccomend this over the blast shields and muzzle brakes i own!

Actually bought this as a placeholder on an AR pistol until I get a suppressor on it. I like these when you have a 11" barrel and a 12-13" handguard. And it's functional in that it directs exhaust and noise forward from the shooter.
