Hornady 22 Cal .224 62 Gr Eld-Vt (1-8") Bullets 100Ct - 22762

Engineered for precision varmint control and target shooting, the Hornady 22 Cal .224 62 Gr ELD-VT bullets deliver exceptional long-range performance in a lightweight package. These 100-count projectiles combine the aerodynamic efficiency of match-grade designs with the rapid expansion needed for varmint hunting, making them a versatile choice for reloaders seeking flat trajectories and reliable terminal results.

Key Features

• Heat Shield® Tip Technology – The advanced polymer tip resists deformation from aerodynamic heating, preserving the bullet’s ballistic coefficient throughout its flight for consistent accuracy at extended ranges.
• Secant Ogive Profile – Optimized for high velocity and low drag, this design enhances stability and reduces wind drift when paired with 1-8″ twist barrels.
• High Ballistic Coefficient – With a G1 BC of .395 and G7 BC of .199, these 62-grain bullets maintain velocity better than traditional varmint projectiles, delivering flatter trajectories out to 500+ yards.
• Sectional Density of .177 – Provides an ideal balance of weight retention and expansion for clean varmint harvests under 50 lbs while excelling in target and practice applications.

Performance Benefits

Reloaders appreciate how the ELD-VT solves common pain points in varmint and precision shooting: excessive drag on lighter bullets, tip erosion at high velocities, and inconsistent grouping in faster-twist rifles. The result is superior velocity retention, reduced wind sensitivity, and dependable expansion on impact without the over-penetration issues of heavier match bullets.
