The HS503CU is a new micro red dot optic equipped with a 65 MOA circle dot reticle with the option of switching to a 2MOA dot only. Holosun’s highly efficient light emitting diodes and solar panels allow Holosun solar optics to run without a battery in many lighting conditions. Additionally, the back-up battery lasts up to 5-years on the dot and up to 2 years on the circle dot. The “U” signifies a housing design that shrouds the windage and elevation turrets on two sides.

Better than expected
I have astigmatism so the average red dot simply looks like a blurry picture of a star so I usually buy prism sights. I decided to buy one of these since it was going on an AR-15, 300 blackout pistol and so the average shot would be a 100 yards or less so using the 65 and 2 moa would be more than enough. Turned out the blurry 2MOA dot wasn’t nearly as scattered on this red dot as others I’ve used. So far I’m extremely satisfied with this purchase and the price point was good as well. Now I just need ammo prices to continue to fall so I can put some real time into this scope.
